A Unique Look at Oregon History: 100 Years of the Oregon Blue Book

Event Description
Filmmaker Darrell Jabin’s inspiration for his most recent video was the 100th anniversary of the original Oregon Blue Book, the fact book and almanac produced by the Secretary of State every two years. Jabin combed through the books to find some of the most memorable events of the last 100 years.
These included women winning the right to vote, the fire that destroyed the capitol, the 1959 Oregon Centennial celebration, the Columbus Day Storm and more. The result is a uniquely entertaining and informative look at Oregon history.
This presentation is free and open to the public, with seating on a first-come, first-seated basis.
